What is your role and main responsibilities at Mint?

I look after the BOH desk at mint, main responsibilities involve liaising with clients, ensuring all bookings are filled with the right person, attending client meetings and looking after my team.

Can you describe a typical day in your role?

Every day is different, some days I’m in the office doing admin, others I attend client meetings or staff check ins. I love the variety of my role, it keeps it challenging and rewarding.

How did you get started in your career, and what brought you to Mint?

I originally joined Mint as one of the onsite managers, but then was asked to move over to BOH to help out, and the rest is history!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?

My team, they are the backbone of my department and I couldn’t do my job without them. They are more than colleagues, I’ve made some friends for life at mint.

What do you enjoy most about working at Mint?

I love the fast paced nature of my job, it makes every day interesting.

How do you approach problem-solving and decision-making in your job?

Evaluate all angles before making decisions. I compare my department to a chess game, all pieces in the right place, it’s one of the things I enjoy the most.

If you could have dinner with any person dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Eleanor of Aquitaine, she’s my ultimate historical hero, and my eldest daughter is named after her.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to read, it’s one of my favourite pastimes. I also love shopping and eating out!

What’s a fun fact about you that most people at work don’t know?

I’m a member of the Richard the third society – probably doesn’t sound that fun but it is to me.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

There’s too many to choose from. Most of the places I want to visit is for historical reasons.

What’s one goal you have for the coming year, either personal or professional?

I want to build my department to the biggest BOH division in the UK

If you could instantly become an expert in any field or skill, what would it be?

Medieval Latin – I studied it at uni and was quite good at it. I love history and the ability to read sources in their original form would be amazing.

Would you rather be able to speak any language or speak to pets?

Any language definitely.
